Why not consider teaching vehicle or motorcycle courses?

Since the 2010 introduction of a measure seeking to decrease the amount of motor vehicle and other road accidents, all new drivers must take a driving course. SAAQ road statistics attest to the initiative’s success, with 44% fewer road accidents in 2020 (24,471) than in 2010 (43,824)!
If you enjoy driving and would like to share the knowledge you’ve acquired over the years, becoming an instructor could be greatly rewarding, as it allows for making a difference in the lives of students by helping them progress in their driving courses.

Why become a driving instructor?

  • It’s a rewarding occupation. While you will be teaching students new skills, the job also calls for a bit of psychology. In return, you’ll surely receive grateful messages and feel a sense of pride at having helped students become increasingly competent and confident, which is in and of itself greatly rewarding!
  • The hours are flexible. Whether it be a full-time career or a part-time occupation, you can often choose when you’d like to work, with most driving schools offering courses during the day, at night and on weekends.
  • The job is never exactly the same. Much like our roads, students are all a little bit different! Teaching someone to drive is far from a predictable task, as it calls for constantly adapting to the students and road conditions. You can count on the fact that you’ll never be bored!

I’m a fan of motorcycles, does that mean I could become an instructor?

Absolutely! There’s also a mandatory driving course for new motorcycle drivers. The sense of satisfaction elicited from watching students achieve a dream - that of driving - is priceless.

We’re also looking for experienced motorcycle drivers who would like to share their passion with newbies.

So.... why not do both?
Numerous instructors teach both motor vehicle and motorcycle driving courses.
